What is Executive Coaching?
The term “coaching” can be misleading. It may imply an actual transfer of skill and/or knowledge from the coach (e.g. sports coach, drama coach). However, Executive Coaching is essentially not about telling the client what to do and how.
A good Executive Coach asks the right questions and helps the client to clarify their thoughts and develop insights that will enable the client to decide what they need to do and how they plan to do it. It is an ongoing, participative process, drawing out the individual’s potential and building confidence in their own abilities.
